Helping the largest number of the poorest, an intrinsic goal of Oikocredit, means reaching out to the rural poor. This is because about 70 percent of the world’s poor live in rural areas.

We support our partners in placing client protection on equal footing with financial profit. Our goal is to increase financial inclusion and create benefits for clients, beginning with reducing client vulnerability, and doing so while monitoring client welfare.
