Aldea Global is joining us for a North American coffee tasting road show.

This October, taste the coffee and meet the leaders and farmers behind the internationally recognized Nicaraguan coffee cooperative, Aldea Global, during a road show through North America.

Oikocredit is teaming up with Counter Culture Coffee in Seattle and Building New Hope in Pittsburgh to introduce you to the delicious taste and compelling stories behind quality organic coffee and the communities that produce it. Maria Mercedes Aleman will be travelling from the Jinotega region of Nicaragua to North America, visiting two cities in Canada (Victoria and Toronto) and two cities in the US (Seattle and Pittsburgh). Please consider joining us for interactive coffee tastings and light receiption to hear about the impact of social financing and cooperatives in the coffee sector.

Aldea is a recognized leader not only in producing delicious coffee but in building strong and thriving communities where women own land and hold positions of leadership, where farmers retain more of their profits, and where a diverse array of programs contribute to a sustainable and productive future.

Come for the coffee and stories, stay for the connections with a broad array of professionals working at the intersection of coffee, social investing, and sustainable development.
